Puerto Banus is located in the Nueva Andalucia, Marbella, 6 km west of Marbella old town.

Puerto Banus was built in the 1970 by Jose Banus which was a property developer. The idea was to convert the old fishing village to a luxury marina complex with shops and restaurants. The port was named after the architect himself.

Puerto Banus became the known playground for rich and famous that visited Costa del Sol. With the amazing backdrop of the mountain la Concha and the beautiful beaches, clubs, restaurants and wild nightlife, it was the hotspot for entertainment. Luxurous cars, yachts and designers stores ofered a spectacle of the highest caliber.

Eventhough the real jet set people have slowly diminished over time the ports popularity has not. Turists are still coming to Puerto Banus to look at the yachts, cars and designers stores or to dine in an expensive restaurant. The nightlife is still going strong with various clubs and bars.
