Torrox is a Spanish municipality in the province of Malaga. It is located on the Costa del Sol, along the Mediterranean Sea and the foothills of the Sierra de Almijara.

Its municipality covers an area 51 square kilometers and a population of 16,395 inhabitants. Torrox Costa is divided into two distinct areas, the old town of Torrox, located inside and Torrox Costa, situated on the coast, where the majority of the population. It is worth mentioning that houses one of the largest colonies of German residents of Spain.

Due to its beaches and tourist infrastructure is a very busy place during the summer months. Agricultural land is of high productivity thanks to subtropical microclimate of the area, which allows the cultivation of tropical fruits such as avocado, cherimoya, mango and loquat, in addition to the production of vegetables and ornamental plants under plastic.
